Longhorn update November 23,2009

Keith Holter and the Longhorns had a great trip to Wagoner, Oklahoma earlier this month for the annual showcase and dance of the Western Swing Society of the Southwest.  We were fortunate to be joined for our performance there by vocalist Candy Noe and her husband, guitarist Roy Ferguson, who both performed for many years with Johnny Lee Wills.
also joining the band were the great Western Swing pianist Wayne Glasson,
and Bill Gilbert, a veteran Western Swing fiddler and one of the founders
of the Westwern Swing Music Society of the Southwest.

The band is rested up from their trip and looking forward to playing at The Spare Room Lounge in Northeast Portland on Saturday night, November 28th.

Sharing the bill with us will be the great singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist
Caleb Klauder leading his country band.

The Spare Room is a great, somewhat undiscovered venue with lots of booths and comfortable seating, a large dance floor, and a friendly staff
serving reasonably priced drinks and good food.  All that, and no cover charge!  Hope to see you there!
